Additional BID activities
86 BID officers, Board members and staff respond regularly to numerous inquiries and requests, most notably regarding property owner issues. These include the Department of Finance assessments. Merchants and property owners focus on other situations such as maintenance, potholes, broken street lamps, damaged water pipes and other issues. Citywide agency contacts have been very cooperative.
Administrative office hours are Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM in addition to the dedication of management to participate in face-to-face activity with people at the BID. The shared facility concept permits this BID to focus its funds on outsourcing the main manpower requirements of sanitation and clean up and enhancing program services. Members of the Alliance have been monitoring the activity of the BID for consideration of it as a model in other parts of the community for sustaining long-term economic development. At present there is consideration of forming a BID on several of the local merchants avenues.
